Resonance Structures

by Tessa Pyun

Resonance structures are different
representations of the same molecule

A smooth migration of one electron
along the structure not noticeable to the eye

Strengthening the bones of the identical molecule

A puzzle to juggle the simultaneous balance
of charges and octets

The goal being to ascertain the strongest
structure through puppeteering where
the electrons should reside

For there is a perfect placement

The perfect stability

In the perfect version

There are many versions of me

I had hoped my strongest resonance
Structure was with you
